Researchers from mobile security company NQ Mobile has just identified a new type of fraudware that threaten Android users in China and Southeast Asian countries .
Softpedia ( 16/10 ) , malware , dubbed ' Copycat App ' is reported to pose a threat in the form of updates NetDragon 91 Assistant application . After a false update be installed , then the malware starts downloading other apps to Android smartphone users .
The malware downloaded application will make Android users get a premium SMS service that automatically deducts the toll on their smartphones . Besides this malware can also access a variety of information on Android devices infected .
Researchers from NQ mobile itself has identified 193 new malware infections in China , Angola , Hong Kong , Iraq , Macau , Malaysia , Singapore , Taiwan and Vietnam . And it is not impossible if Android users in Indonesia will be the next victim .
