The national airline Garuda Indonesia has been able to ship cargo to more than 30 destinations in Europe . This is thanks to the cooperation Road Feeder Services with Jan de Rijk , trucking services provider in the Netherlands who has more than 37 years in the service delivery of cargo in Europe .
" The signing of the cooperation that has been carried out in June , " said President Director of Garuda Indonesia Satar , in a press release on Saturday ( 19/10 ) .
The cargo will use flight Jakarta - Amsterdam route which will then be distributed to the Jan de Rick city destinations in Europe . The 30 cities , among other destinations , Paris , Frankfurt , Dusseldorf , Hamburg , Brussels , Rome , Milan , Barcelona , Madrid , London , Manchester and Zurich .
In addition , to support the growth of domestic air cargo industry growing , Garuda Indonesia Cargo also operates 27 Cargo Service Center which is spread all over Indonesia. Among them , Medan , Jambi , Tanjung Karang , Jakarta , Bandung , Yogyakarta , Solo , Semarang, Surabaya , Denpasar , Balikpapan , Banjarmasin , Kupang , Jayapura , Timika , Tangerang and Yogyakarta .
Through Cargo Service Center , Garuda will serve the delivery of goods from the City to Door and City to City . " Through this service, users can perform the delivery services and the goods or documents at Cargo Service Center nearby without having to come to the airport . "
As reported , Garuda chosen as a rising air freight performance this year or The Rising Star Carrier of the Year in terms of cargo services in the arena of Payload Asia Award 2013. The award was conferred by Contineo media company , in Singapore , Thursday ( 17/10 ) evening local time .
