Reports last week claimed the World Citizens Happiness Malaysia ranks 56th of 156 countries whose citizens are considered not happy .
Malaysia - chronicle.com site reported on Saturday ( 19/10 ) , after 56 years, it was independent for the majority of Malaysians still feel very unhappy and often not satisfied .
The report released from the United Nations ( UN ) is the result of a UN General Assembly resolution that encourages each country to measure the level of happiness of its citizens to carry out public policy .
Other developing countries such as Thailand and Trinidad & Tobago poorer than Malaysia , it still ranks better than the neighbor country .
The report shows Malaysia's ruling Barisan Nasional coalition government could not run properly even though they often claim to build the country .
One of the causes of Malaysians unhappy among others is corruption . So far, corruption has permeated all aspects of life of Malaysians , in addition to the problems caused by ethnic differences among Malay , India , and China .
Additionally restraint information and freedom of speech in Malaysia also makes people become unhappy .
In an age of social media and technology developments so quickly Malaysian government actually forbade citizens to express freedom of speech .
