In China, the lamp can be used so modem internet
Chinese researchers discovered a new breakthrough in terms of cheap internet . Mentioned , the researcher is no longer able to stream internet with Wi - Fi , but through the light bulb .
As reported by ZDNet ( 18/10 ) , this news was first reported by China Daily , Xinhua News . Written , the technology that came to be called the Li - Fi , it can be transmitted through the wireless signal bulb .
An LED light with 1 watt of power is said to drain up to four computers with internet . Principally , the LED light replace traditional radio waves to transmit data.
LED is also not an ordinary LED that we use everyday . However , the LED is already fitted with a microchip which is able to manage data traffic up to 150Mbps , which is higher than the ability of internet data traffic in China , or maybe Indonesia.
However , there are still obstacles in the development of this technology . Researchers found that if the light is obstructed, then the internet signal will also be hindered .
Therefore , Li - Fi technology that has been developed since 2011 it still needs to be improved further . If successful , it also seems cheap internet is not just a dream .
The figure behind the invention is a woman . His name is Chi Nan and he is a professor at Fudan University .
