Rhino species was officially declared extinct
Bad news has just announced the organization of the International Union for Conservation of Nature ( IUCN ) which states western black rhino , which is a sub - species of black rhino extinct .
Softpedia ( 7/11 ) , in its last report , the organization explains that this species usually inhabit areas of Africa , especially the sub - Saharan region . However , if no longer declared species of western black rhino is seen on the continent since 2006 . With these observations , the IUCN finally concluded that this species has become extinct .
The organization says that this will happen sooner than expected anyone before . Hunting and coupled with the failure to implement conservation projects that exact cause of extinction of species is reported to be western black rhino .
In addition , IUCN warns that , according to information provided by wildlife researchers , it is likely that the northern white rhino Africa will also disappear from the world map if biodiversity conservation action is not done immediately to save the species .
